Hampton VA property management : Mosquito Control Methods

Living in a waterfront city has a lot of perks - you get to enjoy a scenic view and feel like you're on a vacation all year round. But the hot temperature nowadays often leads to the accumulation of pesky mosquitoes. In Hampton VA property management, mosquitoes are controlled and prevented from multiplying; and the tenants can do their share in doing so. The city of Hampton reminds its residents not to leave stagnant water lying around the house, to keep the number of mosquitoes down. Although the mosquitoes have yet to reach an alarming rate, the city's environmental services department is now conducting truck sprays around the community. Roadside ditches, woodland pools, and salt marshes are being treated with larvicide to prevent mosquito eggs from hatching. Residents can do their part in reducing the mosquito population by dumping any standing water from flower pots, pools and unused tires. Those who have bird baths should replace water at least once a week. Tenants should make a request to their property company if the gutters and downspouts need cleaning and de-clogging. Drains and ditches must also be free of trash so water could drain properly. Boats, trashcans and other containers must be fully covered to prevent collecting rainwater which can also serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
