Last year, the city council of Hampton ventured in a community-wide initiative to update the Community Plan. This undertaking has been set out to further improve the implementation of local policies that will benefit all its residents, thereby giving more advantage to property management Hampton. If the policies will push through, the local government will be able to upgrade the standard of living within its communities. After several months of study and research, the Community Plan Update 2011 was finally launched.   The said plan is directed towards the betterment of the following target areas: local economy, education, the community's pride, waterways, local housing, children and youth, family units, environment, and overall safety. Goals, action plans and benchmarks for success have been established. One of the key partners in this goal is the Urban Design Associates, which was hired by the city of Hampton to develop master plans for the city's strategic areas. Upon implementation, the city hopes to attract more business investors to generate more employment opportunities. These plans are also set out to enhance and modernize the street networks, pathways, open spaces, waterfront access, land utilization, and housing and commercial establishments. Furthermore, the youth commission and the neighborhood offices are also part of the improvement plan.
