The Great American Cleanup in Property Management Portsmouth

KRS Holdings - Wednesday, February 24, 2016
Last April 28, 2012, the city of Portsmouth hosted a household hazardous waste collection event the Wal-Mart parking lot located at 1098 Frederick Boulevard. From 9 o'clock in the morning up to 12 noon, the residents of Portsmouth were advised to dispose their used-up/discarded household products at the hazardous waste collection event. Property management Portsmouth supports this event because property managers uphold efficient waste management methods. Unnoticeably, there are commonly used products at home which could pose serious health risks if not disposed properly. These products contain toxic chemicals which can pollute and damage the environment. Such examples of these products are: kitchen degreasers, bathroom tile, toilet and tub cleaners, bleach, drain cleaners, wood and metal polish; insect repellants and insecticides; glue, fixatives, solvents, paint and paint thinners; aerosol cans, propane tanks, nail polish removers, used cooking oil, kerosene and lighter fluids; fluorescent bulbs, mercury thermometers; and batteries of all kinds. In addition, automotive products too, such as motor oil, refrigerant, brake fluids, fuel additives, carburetor cleaners, gasoline and diesel oil also pollute the environment. The said event was held in connection with The Great American Cleanup Action Days which strive to make our communities not only cleaner but safer too.
